Annuals Sales Associate

Full time and Part Time available

Position Objective:

The Sales Associate position for the Annuals Department is responsible for all customer service and sales activities, including greeting customers, answering questions, offering assistance/guidance, suggesting items, lending opinions, providing product information, and maintaining the sales floor.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Continuously greet, assist, and advise customers with plant/product selection
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Provide accurate information such as product features, pricing, warranties, services, etc.
  • Answer customer questions about specific products and services
  • Makes suggestions and encourage the purchase of products and/or services
  • Cross-selling of products and/or services
  • Ensure sales floor is stocked, clean, organized, plants are maintained, cared for, etc.
    • Coordinate and assist with managing and maintaining the sales yard; including but not limited to the care, health, and maintenance of plant material
  • Inform customers about discounts, promotions, sales, and specific offers
  • Stay up to date with new products and services
  • Assist in other departments
  • Provide customer feedback to General Manager

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in nursery sales, garden center sales, horticulture, or related field
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of annuals materials
  • Ability to handle multiple/competing demands upon time management, especially during peak seasonal sales periods.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
